Peter Ratcliffe (tel. +44 (0)7973 122017) - Peter began his working life in south Liverpool, helping out with his father’s Wholesale business, selling confectionery to local shops. Peter then moved into the Timber trade, co-founding Southport Timber. After a successful career spanning 30 years, Peter retired thinking life would be quieter. Little did he know that many new challenges lay ahead. 10 years later he would return to almost full time work, building his own house and then focusing his energies on CPUK.
Andrew Ratcliffe (tel. +44 (0)7972 845252) - Andrew returned to the UK in December 2009, lured by The Pod, having spent two years living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Andrew Graduated from The University of Manchester in 2005 with a 2:1 in Economics and Social Studies. After living and working in London, Andrew set off to Argentina in October 2007, eventually coming back married 26 months later. Since teaming up with his father in January 2010, Andrew has divided his time between the lakes and Merseyside, working with his father to develop new business across the UK, while researching and developing the European market.
Mechi Rey Goitia - Mechi, wife of Andrew, will focus primarily on the Spanish market, making the most of her language skills, while aiding Peter and Andrew in the day to day running of Camping Pods UK.
David Cook - David Cook and Peter have been friends since the 1969 when they met as trainees in the timber trade in Coventry. David founded North Yorkshire Timber in 1977, which grew to become a major timber distributor in the North-East of England. In 2010 they have been appointed sole UK licensed manufacturer handling all sales, production and marketing east of the Pennines.
